If your physical Aadhaar card is not received by post, you can get it through the website. The steps to do so include the following:

 Step 1: Visit the official portal of UIDAI.

Step 2: Select ‘VID,’ ‘Aadhaar’ number, or ‘Enrolment Id.’ In case you have those, you can retrieve those from resident.uidai.gov.in.

Step 3: Fill in the form by providing all the required details.

Step 4:  Choose 'Request OTP' to receive your OTP on your email address/ mobile number.

Step 5: Provide the OTP.

Step 6: Finally, click on the “Download Aadhaar” button.

After you download your Aadhaar, you can access it by entering a password. This password is formed by the first four letters of your first name and birth year.

Getting Aadhaar Via Mobile Application

Besides using the website, you can also receive your Aadhaar on your mobile via the Aadhaar applications. The steps to get aadhaar via mobile application are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Aadhaar application and login using your details.

Step 2: Click on the Download aadhar button.

Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number and VID (virtual ID) for downloading your aadhaar.

Step 4: Click on the button “Request OTP.”

Step 5: You will receive an OTP on your mobile number. Enter it and then, click on “verify.”

Step 6: You need to click on “Open” for downloading your e-Aadhaar in the form of PDF.

You will have to enter a password for viewing your Aadhaar card. The password will be a combination of your name’s first 4 capital letters  along with your birth year in the format of YYYY.
