How to Check Aadhaar Card Update History?

UIDAI introduced a unique feature to check the Aadhaar update history. This feature enables an Aadhaar card holder to track suspicious update requests of biometric or demographic information.

Following are the steps to check the history of the Aadhaar update:

Step 1: Visit the UIDAI official website

Step 2: Choose the "Aadhaar Update History (Beta)" option from the "Update Aadhaar" section

Step 3: Enter your VID, Aadhaar number, and security code

Step 4: Choose whether you want to generate your OTP via your registered mobile number or generate TOTP via the mAadhaar App

Step 5: Now, enter the OTP or TOTP, whichever you receive

Step 6: Now, click on “Submit”

Step 7: Next, the instances of update appear on your screen, irrespective of updates performed online or offline in demographic/biometric data

• URN (Update Request Number)
• Date of Update
• Type of Update
• Photo of cardholder
• Demographic Details
• Date and Time of checking the Aadhaar update

• Ensure to link your mobile number with your Aadhaar card
• The entire process of checking history Aadhaar updates is online, and no other means apply
• You would not be able to download the updated reports, but it is permissible by UIDAI to take screenshots of the report
