The State Government of Haryana launched the Housing Board Haryana Scheme to enable individuals, especially those belonging to economically weaker sections, to purchase their own houses within the State.

Objectives of Housing Board Haryana New Scheme 2022

The primary objective of the Housing Board Haryana is to construct houses for the socially and economically weaker sections of the society.

What Are the Eligibility Criteria for Housing Board Haryana New Scheme 2022?

Houses will be available under HBH Scheme under the following conditions:

LIG (Low Income Group)and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Categories

  • The applicant must reside in Haryana or must have been working in Haryana for a minimum of six months as on the date of application. 
  • Employees of the Government of Haryana, Municipal Corporation of Faridabad, Central Government, any Board, or corporate body controlled by the Haryana Government can apply.
  • An ex-serviceman or a retired Haryana Government Servant is eligible to apply under HBH New Scheme.
  • Applicants must not be the owner of a house in Delhi, Haryana or Chandigarh. The ownership must not be either in the name of the applicant or his or her wife/husband or in the name of a relative dependent on him/her, including unmarried minor children. 
  • Applicants owning any ancestral house in a village or a share in rural or urban property can apply.

HIG (High Income Group) and MIG (Middle Income Group) Categories

  • Applicants belonging to backward classes and scheduled castes or who are handicapped, blind, disabled servicemen, freedom fighters, widows and war widows with the domicile of Haryana can apply.
  • Applicants getting reservations under Regulation 7 must not have the ownership of a house in Haryana in his or her name or spouse's name or in the name of any dependent family members.

Eligibility as Per Family Income During Registration

  • The annual income of people from the economically weaker section must not exceed ₹ 1 lakh per annum.
  • The annual income of Low Income Groups (LIG) must range between ₹ 1 lakh and ₹ 2 lakh per annum.
  • Annual income from Middle Income Groups (MIG) must be within ₹ 2 lakh to ₹ 4.5 lakh per annum.
  • Annual income for High Income Groups (HIG) must be above ₹ 4.5 lakh per annum.

*Family income is inclusive of the income of the applicant, his or her spouse, unmarried minor children and dependent relatives

Note: Eligible applicants or their spouses or any of their dependent members can submit only a single application under Housing Board Haryana Scheme.

Eligibility For All Categories

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 at the time of registration.
  • Applicant, his or her wife/husband or dependent relatives who previously got allotment of a house or flat by this Housing Board but transferred the same to another person under the transfer policy of Board is not entitled to get his name registered for five years from the date of transfer.

How to Apply/Register for Housing Board Haryana New Scheme?

Follow the steps mentioned below to purchase a house or flat under the Housing Board Haryana New Scheme 2022.

  • Step 1 – Visit the official website of the Housing Board Haryana.
  • Step 2 – Click on 'Booking open'. On the following page, click on 'For Registration' and complete the registration process.
  • Step 3 – Next, click on 'Register Here'. Enter the required details, correspondence address, upload photos and signature. Then, create user credentials, and check the boxes under the Declaration column.
  • Step 4 – Click on 'Submit'.
  • Step 5 - On the following webpage, provide the required information and submit it. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
  • Step 6 – Now log in using the OTP.
  • Step 7 – Pay the application fee by clicking on the payment option and choosing a suitable payment option.
  • Step 8 – The details of the applicant will appear on the screen. Click on the 'Make Payment' option to pay the registration amount.

How to Pay for Flats Under the Housing Board Haryana New Scheme?

For ESW

  • Applicants have to pay 10% of the advertised cost with the application.
  • 20% of the advertised cost besides the amount already paid after a draw of lots.
  • Minimum 50% of the actual cost apart from the amount already paid at the time of allotment possession.

For LIG/ MIG /HIG

  • Applicants have to pay 10% of the advertised cost with the application.
  • 25% of the advertised cost besides the amount already paid after a draw of lots.
  • Minimum 40% of the actual cost apart from the amount already paid at the time of allotment possession.

In both cases, the balance amount has to be paid in EMIs over a period of 10 years.

What Is the Refund Policy of Application Money Under this Scheme?

Applicants who did not get any allotment under the Haryana Board Housing New Scheme will get a refund without interest.

Remember, applicants will not get the 10% of the amount that they deposited at the time of registration if they have withdrawn the application before the date of the offer of a house set by the Board. If any balance remains after that, applicants will get a refund without interest.
