Eligibility Criteria for the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme

The eligibility criteria of the Ishan Uday Scholarship in 2022 are as follows:

  • All the candidates must be a resident of any of the Northeastern states that consist of Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
  • The annual income of an applicant’s family from all sources must not exceed ₹ 4,50,000.
  • In addition, the applicants must pass class 12 or equivalent examination in the previous year of their application for the present academic year.
  • Also, they require a degree course or combined course admission in-
    • Any institutes, colleges or universities under Section 2(f) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act.
    • Universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
    • Any institution qualified to receive UGC grants-in-aid.
    • Educational institutions that receive funds from the State or Centre.
    • Nationally reputed institutes.
    • Institutes with AISHE code admission.
  • Lastly, transgender candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

How to Apply for the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme Online?

Below are some easy steps to apply for the Ishan Uday scholarship online:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP and click on “New Registration”.
  • Step 2: Then click on “Continue” to redirect to a page to fill up all the essential details on the ‘ * ’ marked sections.
  • Step 3: You must choose “Post Matric or Top Class or MCM” for your scholarship category and “Incentive Type” as your scheme type.
  • Step 4: After that, enter your mobile number to receive an OTP or ‘One Time Password’ for verification purposes. Enter that OTP carefully for a successful registration.
  • Step 5: Press “Submit” and then “Login to Apply” to log in to the portal.
  • Step 6: Then fill in the application form carefully and upload all the attested important documents. Following that, click on “Submit” for applying under this scheme successfully.

Note: The last date of registration is 15th January 2022, and that of submitting and other verifications of the application forms is 31st January 2022.
