Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme was first launched on 9th January 2020 by Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. This scheme provides financial support to every mother or any recognised guardian in the mother’s absence who is below the poverty line to provide Intermediate Education (Class 1 – Class 12) to their children/child.

  • Money will be transferred online directly to the bank account of the beneficiary. 
  • The mother will not get any assistance from Andhra Pradesh Government once the child completes class 12.
  • The beneficiary will receive the money every year in January till the beneficiary completes his/her education.
  • In case the beneficiary decides to discontinue their education, no financial support will be provided to their family.

What Are the Eligibility Criteria for Jagananna Amma Vodi Yojana?

  • The applicant should be a legal resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  • He/she should belong to the BPL household and must possess a white ration card.
  • The child should study in a junior college or government school between the 1st and 12th standard and should have at least 75% attendance.
  • If the child chooses to end studies in the middle of an academic year, they cannot enjoy the benefits of this plan.
