Yeshwanthpur is located in the north-western part of Karnataka. It is popularly known as the transport hub of the state. In addition, it has a state-of-art railway station, the Yeshwanthpur Railway Junctions, which has trains connecting all of India.

A woman driving a two-wheeler was crushed by an over speeding public bus on RMC Yard in front of Yeshwanthpur railway station. According to reports, the woman had stopped on the side of the road to attend to a phone call when the bus knocked her down. She suffered serious injuries and was declared dead as she reached the hospital. The bus driver had abandoned the bus and fled from the site. The police filed a case against him and started investigating the case.

A road safety campaign was launched by the bike-taxi company to create awareness of road safety measures. The campaign was started along with the traffic police of Bangalore. In this campaign, the members were distributing road safety materials, carrying out safety demonstrations and interactive sessions on the important traffic signals along the city.
