According to a news report from The Times of India, a driver from the Raichur district was fined by the court. The tractor driver was fined ₹15000 under the Motor Vehicles Act for letting a minor drive his tractor.

As per the Motor Vehicles Act, a driver must have a commercial driving licence to drive heavy vehicles such as trucks and tractors. Based on footage from social media, police nabbed the driver and presented him in front of the court. 

The court subsequently found him guilty of flouting multiple traffic laws. He was fined ₹15000 for letting the minor drive his vehicle. Further, the tractor driver was also fined an additional ₹500 for having a defective number plate.

As per The Hindu’s report, four people died in 2 road accidents in the Raichur district. A family of 3 drowned and washed away in the Tungabhadra Left Branch Canal after their car overturned. In another incident, two men travelling on a motorcycle died after colliding with a bus. The biker riders met with an accident near Jawalagera village when they crashed into a government bus. As a result, the men died on the spot.
