No Parking Fines and Rules in Rajasthan in 2026

Located in the northwestern region, Rajasthan is the seventh most populated state of India. Due to a high population rate, vehicle density is experiencing a surge in number making it difficult for traffic police to manage. According to a survey, more than 17.7 million vehicles were registered in Rajasthan as of 2019. This is increasing by the day.

1. Do not park a vehicle on a road which has a high traffic volume.
2. One must not park their vehicle on any private property without the owner’s consent.
3. Never park in a no-parking zone on a road/street.
4. Avoid parking in front of any public property like hospitals, schools, theatres or any other building in a way to obstruct its main entrance.
5. Make sure to turn on the parking lights of a vehicle while parking at night.
6. Do not park a vehicle on a road in a way to block any traffic signal or lights.
7. Never park your vehicle on a sidewalk or a pedestrian/traffic crossing of a road.
8. Do not park a vehicle on the wrong side of the road.
9. Avoid parking a vehicle at/near a bus stop.
10. One shall not park their vehicle on a hill, bridge or incline.
11. Do not leave a vehicle unattended for more than 10 hours on a public road.

According to the Motor Vehicle Act, violation of the parking rules and regulations is punishable by law and attracts a fine for no-parking in Rajasthan. The fine for violating the above-mentioned rules for the first time is ₹500. On second or subsequent violation of such rules, an offender will be liable to pay a fine of ₹1000. The fine is also the same for wrong parking.

Offline Method:

Drivers or riders can also choose to make on-the-spot cash payments to a traffic police officer with an e-challan machine. One can also submit their no-parking charges in Rajasthan to any nearest traffic police station along with the required documents and a letter of a traffic violation.

Non-payment of no-parking fines in Rajasthan within 60 days of the time limit will lead to an official visit by a traffic police officer to the offender's registered address. The matter could further proceed to a district court where an offender will have to officially address their failure to make the payment on time.
