Traffic rule violations attract penalties as per the Motor Vehicles Act 1988. However, the traffic amount fines were revised and have been effective since 1st September 2019. 

It was done to ensure enhanced road safety and the practice of safety measures. Refer to the table to see the list of new traffic fines per the amendments to the Motor Vehicles Act.
