    Furthermore, the Ministry of Road Transport has introduced a Sarathi portal for users. Here, the applicants for a driving licence can check the status of the application by entering the state's name on the required field.

    Step 5: It will redirect you to the Vahan portal. Now, tap on the “Driving Licence and Learner’s Licence Services” option.

    Step 6: You will find an “Application status” section. After redirecting to a new page, you must enter the details such as application number, date of birth and CAPTCHA code before clicking the “Submit” option.

    Step 7: The next page will show you all information on your driving licence and the status of the same.

    2. Through Parivahan Website

    Step 1: Visit the official portal of Parivahan.

    Step 2: Now, click on the “Online Services” section and select “Driving Licence Related Services” from the drop-down list.

    Step 3: You will see a drop-down list asking you to mention the name of your state. Enter West Bengal there

    Step 4: Now, tap on the “Apply Online” menu and you will see additional options below.

    Step 5: You will see the “Application Status” option. Click on it.

    Step 6: Now, enter your application number, date of birth and the CAPTCHA code as required in the fields.

    Step 7: After clicking on the “Submit” option, you will be redirected to another page where you can see the status of your driving licence application in West Bengal.

    3. Through Sarathi Portal

    Step 1: Visit the official web portal Sarathi Parivahan website and click on the “Online Services” option.

    Step 2: It will redirect you to a page showing the “Apply Online” option. Click on it and choose the “Application Status” option from the drop-down menu.

    Step 3: Enter necessary information such as your application number, date of birth and other details as required. After that, enter the CAPTCHA code.

    Step 4: As you click the “Submit” option, it will show you the status of your driving licence on screen.

    Offline Method of Checking the Status of a Driving Licence Application in West Bengal

    Although the online method is a much easier procedure, many people choose to visit the RTO to check the status of their driving licence. It is an offline process and includes some simple steps too. Here they are as follows -

    Step 1: If you reside in West Bengal, visit your nearest RTO. Please make an appointment with the officials and visit them to learn about your driving licence status. It will be best to visit the RTO from where you have undergone your driving test.

    Step 2: Always carry your vehicle and related documents when visiting their office. The concerned authorities will ask you to present all the necessary documents. It includes your date of birth and your driving licence application details. Also, do not forget to provide your “Learner Licence” number. After verifying each document, the officials will inform you about your driving licence status.
