Step 5: Book a slot for the driving licence test.

Step 6: Submit the application form with the necessary documents to the RTO. Once you pass the driving test, authorities will take your biometrics.

You will receive your DL or driving licence after a certain period.

An RTO official will supervise your driving test. You will have to drive through the RTO’s designated driving route. The RTO officials will check your driving skills and understand your knowledge of traffic symbols and rules.

Are There Any Tips for Clearing a Driving Test?

Below are some tips for clearing the driving test in one go:

Tip 1: Carry all necessary documents with you during the test day - address and age proof, identity proof, etc.

Tip 2: Always reach before the scheduled slot. This will keep you calm and allow you to focus on the exam.

Tip 3: Be confident and keep your hands on the steering wheel. Ensure you grab the steering wheel in the proper position while driving.

Tip 4: Keep your eyes on the road and avoid any distractions.

Tip 5: If you have not practised well, please do not attempt the driving test. It might lead to errors and you may fail the driving test.

Tip 6: Know the traffic symbols and basic traffic rules to pass the driving licence test in one go.

Practise well before the test, seek help from experienced drivers and go through probable questions available online and then you are good to go.
