RTO Etah

Etah is a district in Uttar Pradesh having a population density of 717 citizens per square kilometre. Etah is a part of the Aligarh division and is located on the midpoint of G.T Road also known as Delhi-Kanpur Highway. The RTO code of Etah is UP-82. 

This birthplace of Amir Khusro is a developing city. Due to the speed in which the city is growing, Etah RTO is becoming one of the busiest RTO in the state.

Etah RTO offers all the transport-related services of this district. Every citizen of Etah district can avail these services of the RTO:

1. Permanent vehicle registration

2. Temporary vehicle registration

If you have applied for vehicle registration at Etah RTO. You will receive a registration certificate and a number plate which is going to have the permanent registration number (UP82XXXX) of your vehicle.

These are the vehicle registration charges you will have to pay at the UP-82 Etah RTO:

• Temporary Registration: ₹1500 for one month
• Permanent Registration: ₹600 for all types of cars
• Hypothecation Charges: ₹1500 only if the vehicle is bought on a loan

Vehicle road tax is paid during the time of vehicle delivery. It is usually included in the on-road price of the vehicle. Here is a list of UP road tax charges followed in Etah RTO:

• Four-Wheelers Road Tax: 3% to 9% levied on the value of a vehicle
• Two-Wheelers Road Tax: 2% to 8% levied on the value of a vehicle 

Following traffic rules is not just applicable to riding or driving in Etah, you must follow traffic rules all over the country. If you do not follow or maintain traffic rules you will be fined for each violation you make. The traffic fines in Etah are mentioned below:

• Making noise with horns in silent zones: ₹2000 for the first offence and ₹4000 for all the subsequent offences
• Driving or riding without a proper driving licence: ₹5000 for the first offence and ₹25000 to ₹100000 for all the subsequent offences
• Driving or riding a vehicle without insurance: ₹2000 for the first offence and ₹4000 for all the subsequent offences
• Speeding or racing with a motor vehicle: ₹5000 for the first offence and ₹10000 for every subsequent violation.
• Overboarding of commercial vehicles: ₹200 for every extra passenger

Yes, it is mandatory to have a motor insurance while driving. If you do not carry vehicle insurance it could lead to hefty fines. You will be charged ₹2000 at first and ₹4000 for any subsequent offence.

According to a report by The Times of India, In January last year, Central Union Minister for Transport and National Highways Mr Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Bharatmala project in which he sanctioned the construction of 7 greenfield expressways in the Uttar Pradesh region.

In the project, a road has been constructed from Bhadwas to Kalyanpur. This road passes through the district of Etah making daily commutes for the citizens of the Etah district easy.

Last year Etah traffic police organised a traffic awareness campaign in the Etah district. The campaign was under the supervision of Mr Ankit Kumar Agarwal, District Magistrate of Etah.

In this campaign, Etah traffic police taught students of the traffic rules and girls about Mission Shakti Abhiyan. They also distributed pamphlets about road safety among the citizens of the Etah district.
