Have Traffic Fines Been Reduced in Patna?

After implementing the Motor Vehicle Act on 1st September 2019, Patna traffic fines along with the rest of the country have increased. States like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, and West Bengal opposed these revised traffic fines as they considered them extreme for motorists. It led to a reduction of these fines by a substantial amount.

However, Patna also opposed these new traffic fines when they were implemented. Thereafter, Patna Transport Department authorities did not reduce these traffic fines. Offenders are liable to pay fines and penalties according to the new traffic violation fines.
